At the Co-op, we offer two classes. Class is held for two 16 week semesters, September-May. Our school follows the Grand Rapids Public School calendar.
2-Day Class –9:15AM – 11:45AM on Tuesday/Thursday – $380 per semester, plus field trip & materials fees
This class is designed for children who will be three years old by September 1*. In this class, students are introduced to subjects with the intent of providing opportunities for them to explore their world. One or two parent volunteers are in each class in addition to the teacher. We try to maintain a 5:1 student/teacher ratio.
3-Day Class – 9:15AM – 11:45AM on Monday/Wednesday/Friday – $465 per semester, plus field trip & materials fees
This class is designed for children who will be four years old by September 1*. In this class, students will build on the skills introduced the previous year with the intent of mastery. One or two parent volunteers are in each class in addition to the teacher. We try to maintain a 5:1 student/teacher ratio. Three day students are required to purchase a school t-shirt for field trips. Field trips are taken monthly.

*We recently updated our enrollment birth date cut-off to align with the State of Michigan’s Kindergarten enrollment cut-off date: new kindergarten students must be 5 by September 1st of the year they enrolling. BUT we understand that all children are different! And preschool readiness can vary for a number of reasons not necessarily related to a birth date. As such, exceptions to the September 1st cut-off date will be considered on a case-by-case basis for children turning 3 or 4 by December 1st. Readiness determination may include a meeting with the teacher for a brief assessment.
Tuition is payable annually, by semester, or quarterly. There is a nonrefundable registration fee, payable by check or money order only, due with your application to secure your spot in the class. Tuition may be paid by check or money order.
Enrollment for new students begins January 20th. Current and returning families may enroll beginning January 6. To enroll, download our application form and return this with your registration fee to secure your child’s place.
You will also need to complete the enrollment packet which will be sent out to members via email from the Board President. This packet will be due three weeks prior to the start of the school year. The DHS Clearance form may take several weeks to receive back from DHS. Please complete and mail this form to your local DHS office as soon as possible.
